Orca Expedition
Join me in a crazy once in a lifetime experience swimming Orcas in the Arctic Ocean!

Join me for an unforgettable Arctic adventure snorkeling with orcas in the fjords of Northern Norway.
Every winter, massive schools of herring migrate into the Norwegian fjords. These dense bait balls attract large numbers of orcas and whales, creating one of the best places in the world to observe and potentially swim with these incredible animals.
Our home for the week will be the expedition vessel Kinfish, a comfortable liveaboard designed for Arctic wildlife expeditions. Staying on a ship allows us to follow the whales wherever they move, travel further north if needed, and reach the action before day boats arrive.
Late January is also a beautiful time in the Arctic: the sun begins to return after the polar night, giving us more daylight for whale encounters, dramatic winter landscapes, and excellent chances to see the northern lights in the evenings.
At the end of the season, there are also fewer boats on the water, meaning quieter and more natural encounters with the whales.

Vessel
The Kinfish is a large expedition ship designed for whale exploration and comfort in Arctic conditions.
Being on a liveaboard gives us the freedom to:
• Travel far north if needed to locate whales
• Stay close to the action overnight
• Avoid crowded day-trip boats
• Maximize time searching for wildlife
The boat is very confortable. We even have one sauna and one hot tub on the boat! It offers 6 modern and cozy guest cabins as deluxe twins. One cabin is with bunkbeds and a small sofa. All other cabins have two separate beds in varying setups.

Is it for me?

If you are an ocean lover and a good fit swimmer (capable of swimming a long time in wild open ocean and not afraid f cold!) then yes it is! You don’t need to be a diver or freediver as we will only be snorkeling. But It's important to be a very good swimmer.
You don’t particularly need to be a photographer to join the trip, I will be offering photography and editing workshops and giving advices to people who are interested but you are also more than welcome to join us without a camera or with just a gopro!
I’m bilingual French/English so you are more than welcome to join the tour if you speak one of these 2 languages! I will make sure to always translate everything for everyone.

Two years ago, I discovered the Instagram profile of a photographer who seemed as passionate about whales and Moorea as I was.
I followed her posts with great interest, until the day Pierre and I decided to join her on one of the most incredible adventures she organized: a week-long whale-watching expedition on the most beautiful island in the world… Words cannot adequately describe the intensity of what we experienced during that week: from meeting incredible people from all over the world to the majestic encounter with the queens of the ocean… Our lives have changed forever thanks to her.
That person is Joeva, and she simply made my dearest dream come true, and so much more ♥️♥️

Standing face-to-face with such phenomenal sea creatures, breathing, smelling and listening to the ocean, and experiencing the unique wildlife and landscape of this sheer paradise with like-minded people under Joeva’s attentive care is an exhilarating, out of this world experience that you have to do at least once in your lifetime. It is a privilege!
